We are Garden Breaks

Since 1997, European Garden Breaks have been visiting interesting and unusual gardens across the Channel, in particular France, Holland, Belgium and more recently Northern Ireland. The gardens range from Monet’s famous garden at Giverny to the small hidden woodland garden of Petit-Bordeaux; from large public gardens to small town gardens, and each trip will have a selection of gardens to suit everyone’s tastes. 

Generally, there are two trips a year, both over a long weekend, starting either Thursday or Friday and returning on Monday. While the main focus of the trips is visiting gardens, we do allow plenty of time to explore the local area and savour the food and drink.

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, we have no plans for a Garden Breaks trip in the near future. If you want to join our mailing list, please drop us an email. 

Travel is by the Yeovil coach company, Bakers Coaches, which takes pride in transporting the group safely and with good humour and offers free secure car parking in Yeovil if required. There is no need to worry about the practicalities, as plenty of refreshments and comfort stops are scheduled. Accommodation is in a good-quality hotel or cabins on overnight ferries. Breakfast is generally included and other meals extra; however, see individual itineraries as each trip varies. Where possible, we include one group evening meal at the beginning of the trip to help everyone get to know each other.

It doesn’t matter if you are travelling on your own, as a couple or with friends, you will be made to feel welcome. “It’s like one big happy family”
